You have to see this to believe it. It’s political correctness gone absolutely mad.
Here’s the full story but here’s the meat of it:
A woman with a daughter in Iraq and other members of the military in her family hangs up an American flag in her cubicle in an office in the hospital where she works just before Memorial Day. Another woman at her office takes it down and throws it on the floor, claiming that if offends here. And, oh yeah, the complaining woman is not American, she’s an immigrant from Africa. And, oh yeah, the higher-ups at the hospital where this woman works back the “offended” woman.
Eventually the hospital corporate officials got involved and said that the woman could hang her flag.
Obviously, the woman who took the flag down needs a reality check. I guess that you don’t have to love a country that opened its doors for you and gave you the opportunity to work in what seems to be a pretty good job. But how about some respect and tolerance for those who were born here who do love their country and have loved ones putting their lives on the line to protect it?
Perhaps she didn’t know any better. But for the administrators at the hospital to be so scared of offending anyone about anything to side with her, shame on them.
(h/t to E Pluribus Unum at Red State, who also has a good rant about it)
